ACT Exam (Winter)
The American College Test is a standardized test that measures a student’s skills in five core areas: English, math, reading, science, and writing. Students in grades 11 and 12 take the ACT so that they can submit their scores to colleges as part of the college application process. If your student is registered for a CIS class, the ACT score may also be required to earn college credit.
ACT with writing exam
RHS juniors and seniors have an opportunity to take the ACT with writing exam during our district test date TBD, registration is required. There is a limited number of spots available and is on a first come first serve basis. Once the capacity has been reached, students can put their name on a wait list in case spots open up. If your junior or senior plans to take the ACT with writing, the fee is $68.00. All students testing at RHS will take the writing exam as part of the ACT. Following the registration deadline, you will receive an email notification when the fee is ready to be paid in your Parent Portal. If your student qualifies for the free/reduced lunch program, please register your student and contact me at blooms@rockford.k12.mn.us.

ACCESS/ALT TEST (Winter)
- For students receiving EL services. Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Dates to be announced.
ASVAB Test
(Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) - Multiple aptitude battery test that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. The ASVAB test is offered annually to all interested 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. The 2023-24 ASVAB will be offered on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.
ACCUPLACER Test

ACCUPLACER tests help identify your knowledge, strength, and needs in math, reading, and writing. Along with information about your academic background, goals, and interests, your ACCUPLACER results help you choose courses that match your skill level and give you the best opportunities for success.
The ACCUPLACER is offered at RHS to students registered to take CIS Composition for dual credit. A passing score is required by St. Cloud State University to be able to take the course for college credit.

IB Test (International Baccalaureate Assessment)
MCA Test Schedule
MCA - (Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments) - State tests that help districts measure student progress toward Minnesota academic standards and also meet federal and state legislative requirements. MCA tests are conducted at RHS on specified dates. These dates are communicated to families each year from the Director of Teaching and Learning.
Math: April 11; Makeup: April 12 - May 3
Reading: April 11; Makeup: April 12 - May 3
Science: April 17 - April 18; Makeup: April 19 - May 3
* MTAS - (Minnesota Test of Academic Skills) - State alternate assessment (series of tasks) given to students with the most significant cognitive disabilities that measures performance on alternate achievement standards.
PSAT Test

PSAT test - Wednesday October 11, 2023
The Preliminary SAT, also known as the PSAT, is a practice version of the SAT exam. PSAT scores are available by mid-December. If your student took the PSAT but did not receive an email or text with PSAT scores, they may access their scores by creating a College Board account at the following website:

Benchmark assessment to measure student's current reading and math levels. 9 and 10th grade - Reading and Math.
Fall - Tuesday, September 12, 2023 and Thursday, September 14, 2023 during Rocket Block
Winter - Tuesday, January 30, 2024, and Thursday, February 1, 2024 during Rocket Block
Spring- Tuesday, May 7, 2024 and Thursday, May 9, 2024 during Rocket Block
